Jaguar Paws - 8W
One of the reasons I started upcylcing clothes is because my choices at thrift stores can sometimes be limited. I’m a little hard to fit because of my height and frame, so being able to take a shirt that was long enough but entirely too wide and alter it so it fits well turned out to be an indispensable skill for someone who lives at thrift stores. It increased my options. If something was cool but didn’t fit super well, by god, it would by the time I was done with it.
The other reason is sometimes you have something specific in mind and you could hit every thrift store on the planet and never find what you’re looking for. Jaguar Paws grew out of this. I just thought it would be so cool to have iridescent boots that were textured with animal print.
They’re shiny and color-shifting, to be sure, but they’re also a bit understated. Even though there’s metallic purple in there and a green overlay to catch the light and get the iridescent effect, bronze and gold are the dominant hues, so they’re not super loud, visually speaking.
They can be the complimentary piece to an outfit like the one Sofia is wearing, or the standout item in a more subdued look. The choice is yours, but either way, they’ll look cool as fuck on you.
